sep_mic_server

Hi,

   What is sep_mic_server? Is it a service, a process, or something else? What does it do, and how do I as a user ensure that it's properly deployed before firing up VTune?

   We are having trouble getting VTune running with Xeon Phi, but please don't direct me to the 3-step program, e.g., https://software.intel.com/en-us/blogs/2013/03/29/intel-vtune-error-conn... . We've gone through the easy stuff, so I'm trying to diagnose why the easy stuff isn't working.
